The steel structure of a 3-story steel warehouse/workshop has the characteristics of high strength and excellent stiffness. Compared to conservative concrete buildings, steel structures can achieve large spans and high three-dimensional space. However, due to the lack of supporting columns, the overall horizontal resistance performance is poor. In some high-rise buildings or areas with high wind speeds, it is still necessary to use steel structures with caution. Steel structures have their advantages and disadvantages, and most steel structures cannot meet the technical requirements for horizontal displacement. If the beam column section is increased to meet the requirements, the investment will often increase. Therefore, the height of buildings constructed with steel frame structures will be controlled within 20 meters.

The steel frame structure system has no advantages in horizontal force resistance compared to concrete buildings, so steel support systems are usually added within the frame system to compensate for the lack of performance. Steel structure construction generally adds steel support in the longitudinal and transverse directions, which will hinder the overall layout of the floors during internal design. So, when reaching the horizontal force, we can adopt to only add lateral support. There are still shortcomings in the existing technology, so we need to gradually grasp the correctness of the construction technology, and continuously deepen the development of good technology when it is relatively mature.

The residential technology of the light steel keel system mainly comes from the relatively developed West, and the origin of this system comes from wooden structure residential buildings. This is also a substitute after abandoning wooden structure buildings. The technological development has formed a mature system, and China is still in the exploratory stage.
