Due to the uniform load-bearing surface and strong load-bearing capacity of steel structures, their own structures are easily affected by the external environment. For example, if they are placed outside for a long time and are affected by a humid environment for a long time, corrosion will occur, resulting in a reduction in the cross-sectional area of the steel structure, uneven stress, and affecting its normal service life. Therefore, anti-corrosion design is inevitable. Normally, anti-corrosion materials need to be applied on their surface to minimize the time steel materials are placed outside and play their role in factory construction. If the factory is too humid, the likelihood of steel rusting and corrosion will be greatly increased. Galvanizing the surface of steel can provide anti-corrosion protection for the steel. Galvanized coatings have a certain degree of heat transfer and hydrophobicity, which effectively isolates high-temperature steam in the air and prevents it from coming into contact with the steel surface, playing a certain protective role. Because the corrosion process is a chemical reaction process, the conductivity of galvanized coatings can isolate anions present in the air, further providing anti-corrosion protection for steel structures. Steel structures themselves are lightweight and have poor fire resistance, so two points should be noted when designing and using steel structures:

1) When designing steel structures, the main focus should be on using fire-resistant coatings to protect the surface of the steel structure. Full coverage can be applied to improve the fire resistance of the steel structure.

2) The factory should fully implement relevant fire prevention measures internally, provide fire prevention training to employees, leverage the supervisory and management role of factory leaders, make reasonable choices for steel components, and widen the distance from the fire source to the steel structure.
